Dot Plot Annotated Gene Comparison

A template to compare 2 genomes with each other, change the chromosome size and the names in order to put in your own organism. Here is how to use it:

This software is meant to be used to enhance the post-processing visual effects from the results of Chromeister genome dot plot generator tool which you can use to make fast dot plot comparisons between genomes easily on UseGalaxy

1. Obtain 2 whole genomes (or chromosomes for comparison) from NCBI or ensembl, usegalaxy makes it easy to store and compute these genomes
2. Obtain a weighed 2000x2000 matrix result from a Chromeister comparison (unless you want to tweak this repo) from those 2 genomes
3. Place the weighed matrix inside of the same folder of this cloned repo
4. Change the files reffered to in this repo's main.py to match your matrix
5. Run for results

Here is an example from the current template
